Will Apple's iPhone 16 Pro have a minimum capacity of 256GB?
The iPhone 16 Pro, which is rumored to be announced soon by Apple, may have a minimum storage capacity of 256GB. Taiwanese market research company TrendForce announced this on September 6th.
The minimum storage capacity of the current iPhone 15 Pro series is 128GB for the Pro model and 256GB for the Pro Max.
According to the company, the expensive tetraprism periscope lens currently only available on the Pro Max model will also be used on the iPhone 16 Pro, and based on this, they predict that the minimum storage capacity of the Pro model will also be raised to 256GB.
If this happens, there is a possibility of a price increase, but what will actually happen?
This year's iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to be getting bigger display sizes, increasing to 6.27- and 6.86-inches, respectively. For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are equipped with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. The new display sizes will be the largest ever for the iPhone, and should also increase the physical space for internal components and parts.
