Rose Namajunas showcased her superior striking and grappling skills to shut down a spirited effort from Tracy Cortez, earning a unanimous decision victory on Saturday night in the main event at the sold-out Ball Arena in Denver.

Fighting in her adopted hometown, the UFC's No. 6-ranked flyweight Namajunas (14-6 MMA, 11-5 UFC) dominated Cortez in every aspect of the fight. Namajunas used her striking prowess to outpoint Cortez in the early rounds and leveraged her grappling to control the middle rounds.

The judges scored the fight 49-46, 49-46, and 48-47 in favor of Namajunas, marking her second consecutive win after her flyweight debut loss to Manon Fiorot in 2023. Former UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas secured a decision win over Tracy Cortez before a sold-out crowd at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Originally scheduled to fight Maycee Barber, Namajunas faced Cortez after Barber withdrew due to health issues. Cortez, stepping in on short notice, delivered a strong performance but couldn't match Namajunas' experience and strategy.

Namajunas displayed patience and poise throughout the 25-minute fight, using speed, movement, and selective pressure. Her effective straight punches and takedowns allowed her to control the fight. Cortez struggled to adjust to Namajunas' game plan, which remained effective for the full duration.

After her win, Namajunas, now with two wins in three flyweight fights, called for a title shot. However, being ranked No. 6, she might need a victory over a higher-ranked opponent to secure a title fight.

Here’s a look at the UFC Denver results, including winners, losers, and the final official scorecards.

Jasmine Jasudavicius faced a high-stakes bout on Saturday against the highly touted Fatima Kline on short notice and emerged victorious with a unanimous decision in their flyweight matchup.

Despite having just a one-inch height and reach advantage, Jasudavicius effectively utilized her speed, footwork, and ability to control range to amplify these advantages. She dictated the pace by striking first and showcased dominance on the ground, where Kline struggled to mount a significant offense after being taken down by Jasudavicius.
